Who’s Hiring is a weekly survey of companies showing the highest hiring activity for the week of 2/7/11.

The hospitality, business service, retail, health care, telecommunications and banking verticals are the top industries currently hiring based on a survey of active job advertisements from the nation’s leading job boards.

Not only is this valuable for job seekers, but for business analysts, corporate strategists, marketers, salespeople, investment analysts, financial advisers, and others who are interested in companies experiencing growth. Despite the recession, these companies are all expanding.

Total Job Openings week of 2/7/11:

Hospitality led hiring companies as Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Marriott continued heavy job advertisements. Business Service firms were next as IBM, Deloitte, SAIC, ADP, CSC and E & Y were actively staffing.

Retail was hiring as Staples, Advance Auto Parts, Home Depot, Petco, Ross Stores, Kmart, Macy’s, Lowe’s, Toys”R”Us and Sears continued to build staff long after the holidays are over. Health care was hiring as Kaiser Permanente, HCA Healthcare, DaVita, UnitedHealth Group, Genesis Healthcare, HCR ManorCare, Community Health Systems, Gentiva, Direct Therapy and Apria Healthcare were top job advertisers.

Telecommunications continues building as AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon are still staffing actively. Banking rounds out the top of the list as Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo were heavy advertisers.

Job Openings Added This Week – 2/7/11:

The hospitality, retail, business service, telecommunications, and banking verticals are the top industries with new job postings this week based on a survey of the nation’s leading job advertisements added during the past seven days for the week of 2/7/11.

Hospitality led new hiring firms as Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Marriott and Hyatt placed new advertisements this week. Retail was next this week as Staples, Lowe’s, Amazon, Macy’s, OfficeMax and Sears were included in the top employers adding job advertisements this week.

Business service firms IBM, ADP, Deloitte, E & Y and SAIC all placed new job ads. Telecommunications advertised for new positions as AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon advertised for jobs this week.

Banking added job advertisements this week as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi and JPMorgan Chase were staffing.
