Who’s Hiring is a weekly survey of companies showing the highest hiring activity for the week of 2/14/11.

The hospitality, retail, business service, banking, and health care verticals were the top industries currently hiring based on a survey of active job advertisements from the nation’s leading job boards.

Not only is this valuable for job seekers, but for business analysts, corporate strategists, marketers, salespeople, investment analysts, financial advisers, and others who are interested in companies experiencing growth. Despite the recession, these companies are all expanding.

Total Job Openings week of 2/14/11:

Hospitality led hiring companies as Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Starbucks and Marriott continued heavy job advertisements. Retail was hiring as Staples, Advance Auto Parts, Home Depot, Petco, Macy’s, Blockbuster, Sears, Lowe’s, Pilot/Flying J, Toys”R”Us and Food Lion continued to build staff after Valentine’s Day.

Banking was next as JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citi were heavy advertisers. Business Service continued to hire as Deloitte, IBM, SAIC, CSC and E & Y were actively staffing.

Health care rounded out the top of the list as HCA Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, UnitedHealth Group, HCR ManorCare, Community Health Systems, Direct Therapy and DaVita were top job advertisers.

Job Openings Added This Week – 2/14/11:

The hospitality, retail, health care, banking and telecommunication verticals are the top industries with new job postings this week based on a survey of the nation’s leading job advertisements added during the past seven days for the week of 2/14/11.

Hospitality led new hiring firms as McDonald’s, Starbucks, Marriott, Friendly’s and Hilton placed new advertisements this week. Retail was next this week as Home Depot, Blockbuster, West Marine, Macy’s, Jos. A. Bank, Lowe’s, Pilot/Flying J, Ulta and Walmart added job advertisements this week.

Health Care added new jobs as HCA, Kaiser Permanente, HCR ManorCare, UnitedHealth Group, Genesis rehabilitation and DaVita placed job ads this week. Banking added job advertisements this week as JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Citi and Bank of America were staffing.

Telecommunications advertised for new positions as AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon advertised for jobs this week.
