Who’s Hiring is a weekly survey of companies showing the highest hiring activity for the week of 2/21/11.

The hospitality, retail, business service, telecommunications and health care verticals were the top industries currently hiring based on a survey of active job advertisements from the nation’s leading job boards.

Not only is this valuable for job seekers, but for business analysts, corporate strategists, marketers, salespeople, investment analysts, financial advisers, and others who are interested in companies experiencing growth. Despite the recession, these companies are all expanding.

Total Job Openings week of 2/21/11:

Hospitality led hiring companies as Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Panera Bread, Marriott and Hilton continued heavy job advertisements. Retail was hiring as Advance Auto Parts, Staples, Home Depot, PETCO, Macy’s, Pilot/Flying J, Toys”R”Us and Sears continued to build staff.

Business Service was next as Deloitte, IBM, ADP, SAIC, CSC and E & Y were actively staffing. Telecommunications companies continued to hire as T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon were heavy advertisers.

Health care rounded out the top of the list as Kaiser Permanente, HCA Healthcare, Gentiva, HCR ManorCare, UnitedHealth Group, Community Health Systems, DaVita, Direct Therapy and were top job advertisers.

Job Openings Added This Week – 2/21/11:

The hospitality, health care, retail, banking, business service and telecommunication verticals are the top industries with new job postings this week based on a survey of the nation’s leading job advertisements added during the past seven days for the week of 2/21/11.

Hospitality led new hiring firms as McDonald’s, Panera, Marriott and Hilton placed new advertisements this week. Health Care added new jobs as HCA, Gentiva Health, UnitedHealth Group, Community Health Services, Genesis Rehabilitation, Kaiser Permanente, HCR ManorCare and University Community Health placed job ads this week.

Retail was next this week as Safeway, Ross Stores, Blockbuster, Lowe’s, Pilot Flying J, JC Penney’s, Macy’s, Ulta, Walmart and Sears added job advertisements this week. Banking added job advertisements this week as Wells Fargo, Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase were staffing.

Business service was active this week as Deloitte, ADP, IBM and CSC added job advertisements this week. Telecommunications advertised for new positions as T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon advertised for jobs this week.
