Who’s Hiring is a weekly survey of companies showing the highest hiring activity for the week of 3/7/11.

The hospitality, technology, retail, business service and health care verticals were the top industries currently hiring based on a survey of active job advertisements from the nation’s leading job boards.

Not only is this valuable for job seekers, but for business analysts, corporate strategists, marketers, salespeople, investment analysts, financial advisers, and others who are interested in companies experiencing growth. Despite the recession, these companies are all expanding.

Total Job Openings week of 3/7/11:

Hospitality led hiring companies as Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Marriott and Panera Bread continued heavy job advertisements. Technology stepped up to the plate – Oracle, HP, Microsoft and Dell were top hiring companies.

Retail was hiring as Advance Auto Parts, Staples, Best Buy, PETCO, Home Depot, Pilot/Flying J, Ross, Safeway, Lowe’s, Macy’s and Toys”R”Us continued to build staff. Business Service was next as Deloitte, IBM, ADP, SAIC and CSC were actively staffing.

Health care continued to hire as HCA Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, HCR ManorCare, UnitedHealth Group, Community Health Systems, DaVita and Direct Therapy were top job advertisers.

Job Openings Added This Week – 3/7/11:

The technology, hospitality, retail, health care, banking and telecommunication verticals are the top industries with new job postings this week based on a survey of the nation’s leading job advertisements added during the past seven days for the week of 3/7/11.

Technology is back with a vengeance as Oracle, Microsoft, HP and Dell placed new staffing advertisements this week. Hospitality was a leader in new hiring firms as Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Marriott, Golden Corral and Hilton placed new ads this week.

Retail was next this week as Best Buy, Petco, Amazon, Macy’s, Safeway and Sears added job advertisements this week. Health Care added new jobs as Kaiser Permanente, HCR ManorCare, Wellpoint, UnitedHealth Group, DaVita, Genesis Rehabilitation and Direct Therapy placed job ads this week.

Banking added job advertisements this week as Wells Fargo and JPMorgan Chase were staffing. Telecommunications advertised for new positions as AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile advertised for jobs this week.
